A SensRep machine, AKA "Brain Bullet"
Sensory Replacement Therapy is performed in a single-person, bullet-shaped chamber. This gives it the common street-name "the Brain Bullet." Natalie Grayswift was put under the procedure when she lost her father on The Ring. Cedric Onyx has also been noted to have been a patient for reformation purposes, but has rebelled even against it.

Sensory Replacement Therapy is performed by stimulating a gland in the body that lulls the patient into a stasis, essentially inducing a coma. This deprives the patient of all outside sensory input, and places them in a semi-lucid dream state. Their dreams are monitored by professionals, and can be controlled to some degree.
Common patients for the procedure range from criminals to those who have suffered debilitating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It can also be used on witnesses to crimes or events to gather accurate accounts via tapping into the subconscious memory. [1]
