Jim Mason is a fan-made character by Milkie who appears in Harbington Heroes. He is often simply referred to as "Mason" by preference. He is a 36-year-old male Hyena.
History[]
Jim was taken in by the Mason family as an adopted son when he was six years old. His parents, seeking to debunk the social norm, were arrested, causing a need for the boy to be taken in. This made Paula Abram (formerly Paula Mason) his sister.
Jim always knew what had happened to his parents. Being a clever boy, he found out very quickly by looking up old news articles that his family was charged with looking into illegal research on things that had long since been banned by society in the modern age, with the intent to bring it all back. Drugs, alcohol, illegal technology; his parents were into all of it with the goal of turning a tremendous profit when the economy for such things returned. In knowing this, he was more angry with society rather than his parents, and fostered the quiet hatred throughout his life. It made him a bitter and jagged individual, but tremendously motivated.
He followed Paula's example and got into the medical sciences, but he worked harder at the administrative aspects of the field than the actual engineering or application of medicines. While he is a capable doctor, he lacks a speciality beyond actually running the facilities. Upon graduating, he was sworn in at Harbington's medical treatment facilities and became one of a few select individuals tasked with maintaining operations. Jim in particular is in charge of equipment.
Because of Jim's tireless work and sacrifice of personal finances, Harbington is home to some of the most advanced medical technology and technological breaktrhoughs.
But all during his years in college and university, Jim showed a large interest in shaping society via political lobbying and funding. He had his fingers stuck into nearly every pie he could get his hands on to push an agenda that his peers regarded as "random" or "purposefully jarring." This is where he met Edward "Eddie" Kemberge. Many were unsure whether or not Jim regarded Eddie as friend or foe, and to this day no one is really sure.

Mason is a calculating individual with a large public presence and a wealth of personal finance that makes him a dangerous person to cross. He is vindictive to a fault, and never shies from any sort of conflict. He is also a medical doctor, though lacks any particular speciality in the field.
